A few words about

Our Programs

Our projects

Our organization is involved in numerous projects.

Women Studies

Women’s studies represent a contemporary approach to understanding and addressing the human condition within societal relationships. The narrative outlines three steps towards achieving equality, from recognizing basic rights to granting political participation, ultimately highlighting the importance of feminist studies in reshaping collective consciousness. Shahmama is dedicated to women’s studies in Afghanistan, and aims to analyze and address women’s development challenges systematically. The key areas of focus include the historical context, women’s positions in social, cultural, political, and economic relations, to provide practical solutions despite the challenging situation in Afghanistan.

Human rights

Our focus is on human rights in Afghanistan, emphasizing the rights of women, marginalized groups, and religious minorities. They work to raise awareness about constitutional and international rights, monitoring violations, reporting and advocating internationally. The absence of a functional government exacerbates the suffering of Afghan citizens, leading to significant migration challenges. The current situation includes absolute poverty, limited girls’ education, high unemployment, and hindered preventive measures, particularly affecting the women.

Development Initiatives

We as a team of Shahmamam relying on the knowledge and expertise of Afghan expatriates to implement sustainable projects to empower women and girls in Afghanistan. Development initiatives for women and marginalized groups are essential for fostering inclusive, sustainable, and equitable societies, addressing historical and systemic injustices, and promoting the well-being and dignity of all individuals.

Conferences

Shahmama believes that by holding large-scale conferences, it is possible to have a real discussion about the most important problems of women in Afghanistan. The presence of women and the creation of women’s narratives of women’s problems in major conferences can facilitate the finding of a solution.
