As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing justice, equality, and the rights of Afghan women, Shahmama is convening a High-Level International Policy Conference on 15 June at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
The conference is being organized in partnership with UN Women and 12 Member States, bringing together policymakers, diplomats, women leaders, civil society representatives, and international stakeholders to address the urgent challenges facing Afghan women and girls.
The event will serve as a platform for dialogue, policy recommendations, and coordinated international action aimed at safeguarding the rights, dignity, and meaningful participation of Afghan women in all spheres of public life. Participants will explore pathways for advancing justice , promoting gender equality, and ensuring that the voices and leadership of Afghan women remain at the center of international engagement on Afghanistan.
Through this conference, Shahmama reaffirms its commitment to amplifying Afghan women’s voices and advancing collective efforts toward a more just, inclusive, and equitable future.
